What happens when you put a bunch of artists out on a farm with a 20ft fire, a school bus converted into a rock n roll stage, booze, and paint? DotDotDot Art Space would like to invite you to come by and relive all the antics and activities from Fresh Produce Art Collective’s Prequinox Bonfire Masquerade. On display are handmade mask’s worn at the party accompanied by photographs of the event and some random artifacts that made their way back into town. For everybody who didn’t get a chance to come out and experience the excitement of the Prequinox, the Postquinox is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the evening’s events.

????????

QMark

It’s Friday night. I’m painting graffiti at a new after hours club. My phone rings. It’s Coop. He runs a clothing store (HOBOS) in the same shopping center as DotDotDot. “Yo Roc, somebody just drove they van through the front window of the gallery” “What??? How did that happen? Who?” “Man why you asking questions? Get yo ass down here.” The mystery begins.

Saturday night the mystery continues. Wayne Propst shows up pushing a dead headless monkey around in a baby stroller. Cigarettes are smoked and patrons make their way inside. A giant wooden cone sculpture is suspended from the ceiling. Artist Whit Bones snacks on a bag of bugles to celebrate one of his work’s many different interpretations. The walls also hold interesting works. Take the steps up to Charles Ray’s Mind Eraser. I didn’t try it because if i did i couldn’t write this. New gallery partner Jordan Briceland contributes a nice wire sculpture that includes some quaility wire work, a green apple, and some orange spray paint. Ostaf represents with some smooth optical illusionary pieces that I would stare at all day if they were in my office. If i had an office. He also has a clever installation that props up the Earth on a collection of wooden crutches. Papa Morris shows his mastery of layering techniques that leave the viewer wondering “How the f does he do that?” I shrink some trains down to HO scale and cover them in graffiti. Josie stabbed Yolanda with a fork. Fresh Producers (insert names of other people who showed in the show here. Bobbie, Mike, ect) also contribute strong work that add to the mysticism of the evenings events. -As recalled by Erok Johanssen
